IEK and Kenyatta University Partner to Host Inaugural AJERI Scientific Conference in July 2025
The Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) paid a courtesy call to Kenyatta University (KU) to discuss the collaboration for the inaugural African Journal of Engineering Research and Innovation (AJERI) Scientific Conference, set to take place on 24th–25th July 2025.
Eng. Jacton Mwembe, IEK Hon. Secretary, accompanied by Prof. Eng. Lawrence Gumbe, IEK Editorial Board Chair, led the delegation that met with Prof. Paul Wainaina, Vice-Chancellor of Kenyatta University.
During the meeting, Prof. Wainaina expressed appreciation for the IEK Editorial Board. He also welcomed the collaboration and affirmed the university’s readiness to host the AJERI Conference, which will feature international and local research paper presentations as well as poster exhibitions.
The conference will be held under the theme “Engineering for Transformation”. The Vice-Chancellor also confirmed his attendance as the Chief Guest.
