Eng. John Robert Otieno Ogallo is 2nd Vice President of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK). He is a Geotechnical and Pavement Materials Engineer and infrastructure leader with extensive experience in geotechnical characterization, foundation engineering, pavement systems, construction materials and infrastructure QA/QC. His project portfolio spans transport, water, marine, energy and urban infrastructure, including over 600 km of road corridors.

As 2nd Vice President of IEK, he advances technical excellence, professional standards, engineering visibility, policy engagement and mentorship of young engineers, strengthening the role of engineers in national and global development.

He serves as Honorary Secretary, Kenya Geotechnical Society; Registrar – Engineers Chapter, AAK; IEK Professional Advisory Engineer to Nairobi City County; and Member of the KEBS Geotechnics Technical Committee, contributing to professional standards and engineering practice. Regionally, he serves as an Associate Consultant with ESAMI under the TANROADS Programme, Tanzania.

As Executive Director of Noitech Engineering Limited, he provides technical leadership in geotechnical, pavement and infrastructure engineering, with a growing regional footprint focused on resilient infrastructure, sustainable development and positioning his engineering expertise on the global stage.
